Monsters, monsters, monsters... How many types are there??
Yes, everyone has asked this question. The number of monsters in the original online version count in hundreds — from the very gentle Poring to the unfathomable (hence the name) Abysmal Knight. You will never get bored. However, in the offline/mobile version, there are only a few but this does not mean that the game is boring. The lesser number might be due to technological limitations or simply Gravity just doesn't have enough people/resources to make it possible at the moment. Regardless of the reason, we can't blame them for cutting the number of monsters in the game. Of course, it would be great to see more types of monsters but for now we have to endure and appreciate the Ragnarok Team's hard work. Frankly, I believe that in the future they will introduce more updates and patches to Ragnarok Violet. We'll never know.... They might even make the game online eventually! So keep playing and aim for level 99! /gg
In all honesty, I still haven't finished the game thanks to my ever-bothering compulsion to know everything. (I really have to get rid of this habit.) ReplyDeleteYou have to go to the Thieve's Guild in the Prontera Underground Waterways. Inside the room will be a "Blessing of Odin". You have to approach the statue on the right and then press the action button. That should open the secret door. ^_~

For these monsters, would you happen to be able to add which map they are located on? That'd be pretty awsome =o
ReplyDeleteActually, I have been planning to do this. I have a personal map with the monsters in each block. The only problem is that I don't know how to do it. I am using an Excel file for the map and every time I put more data the smaller the screen shot gets. It messes up the map layout.

where can i find the ancient gargoyle??
ReplyDeleteYou can find Ancient Gargoyles in Prontera's Underground Waterways which can be accessed by going in the Catholic Church. There is a quest that can be activated earlier in the game that will require you to kill Ancient Gargoyles but since the guard will stop you from entering the Underground Waterways, you will have to defeat Ifrit first in Morroc then report to King Tristan. Only after that, you are allowed to enter. ^_~

DeleteYou can practically find cheats on the internet... but I haven't tried it. Cheats are only for losers. Haha! :b

DeletePersonally, I don't agree with cheating too. I also try to finish my games honestly. However, I would not consider them losers either. Why? Because I think hacking requires smarts...although it is not always the right thing to do. Hahaha! These hackers are, in a way, winners in their own rights. It's up to them to use their abilities for good or bad.
By the way, this thread wouldn't have come at the most perfect time. Finally, after months of procrastination, I got to level 99 on the day this comment was posted. >_<
DeleteI found out something that I didn't expect.
Apparently, you will still gain experience after getting to level 99. Whether the level stops at 100 or more, I have no idea since I am procrastinating again. Hahaha.

DeleteRegarding the Shrine of Training (Western Plain of Death, Niflheim), you will get +2 status points while in the Shrine of Light (Shrine of Mjolnir)you can acquire +1 skill point. These shrines can be accessed more than once. I tried 3x each so far. I'm not sure how often is the limit but I know there is. One of our friends in the Ragna Freak community has confirmed it. ^_^

ReplyDeleteHi Erik, can you please give details on why you can not fight Tao Gunka? Based on my deduction, I'm guessing you already fought him but accidentally saved it. If this is the case, then you have to restart the game. In Ragnarok Violet, once you defeated the bosses you cannot fight them again. I too wanted to fight the bosses again but the game just doesn't let you.
DeleteHowever, there is a trick to it. You can save your game right before you enter the room where you fight the bosses. If you don't get the drop that you want you can reload the game again. It takes time but it's worth all the effort. ^_~
Hey Guys I think I may have found a bug. I'm trying to obtain the book of death from the thieves guild. I spammed the action button for over 30 mins on the right statue, the left statue, in between, and every possible angle and nothing has happened.
